2022 Apology Breakfast
Friday, February 11th-7:00 am - 9:00 am$80.00 – $800.00
Anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generation
Annual Breakfast 2022
UPDATE: 17 January 2021
Thank you for your ongoing commitment and engagement in commemorating the National Apology to the Stolen Generation. We are contacting you because you have purchased a ticket for this event which was to be held on Friday 11th February 2022.
After much deliberation, we have decided to not go ahead with the face-to-face event in 2022.
Given our event is focused on commemorating First Nations Stolen Generation Survivors and a significant number of our attendees are highly vulnerable we as an organisation felt it is not appropriate to continue with a ‘face-to-face’ format event that would put any of our fellow South Australians at risk or transmitting or contracting COVID19.
Although a ‘face-to-face’ format event is not possible we are still committed to recognising and commemorating this very important event on its anniversary. We have shifted from a ‘face-to-face’ format to a fully produced ‘filmed’ format that will be shared on a number of different platforms on social media and traditional media for people to watch for free.
The fully produced ‘Filmed Commemorative Event’ would consist of
- Two musical performances by two local First Nation Artists
- Pre-recorded panel/keynote from key personnel that were essential in the consultation and writing of the Bringing Them Home Report, which is the 25th Anniversary this year.
- This ‘Filmed Event’ would be placed on media platforms for State and National Viewing
Those with tickets can expect to receive alternate communications via email in relation to their purchase.
Reconciliation SA would like to thank those interested in the event and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
