Encore Event Technologies is proud to play a role in bringing South Australians together through events that inspire, celebrate, and connect. From large corporate conferences to intimate community gatherings and vibrant cultural celebrations, Encore partners with local organisations, venues, and communities to deliver meaningful experiences. But their work extends beyond event delivery. It's about strengthening connections and creating spaces where diverse voices are heard and celebrated.
At the heart of Encore’s approach is a strong commitment to reconciliation. The team believes reconciliation is grounded in respect, listening, and action, and they see every event as an opportunity to contribute to a more inclusive future. From acknowledging Country at events to building partnerships that elevate First Nations culture and knowledge, reconciliation is woven into their everyday practice.
That commitment is further demonstrated through Encore’s sponsorship of the 2025 Reconciliation SA Gala. For the organisation, being a sponsor is both a privilege and a responsibility. It provides the chance to stand alongside other community leaders and organisations committed to meaningful change while also using their platform to amplify voices and stories that matter.
The theme of this year’s Gala, Together Towards Tomorrow, resonates deeply with Encore’s values of collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. The company recognises that the future can only be built collectively, and ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are central to that vision is a priority. Initiatives such as embedding their Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), increasing supplier diversity, and strengthening cultural learning across staff reflect this shared journey towards a more inclusive tomorrow.
Encore is actively embedding key actions from their RAP, including creating opportunities for cultural awareness training, building partnerships with Aboriginal-owned businesses, and ensuring respectful representation of First Nations cultures in events. The organisation is also exploring new pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the events industry, recognising the importance of representation and opportunity in creating long-term change.
These commitments have already resulted in important milestones. One recent highlight was the rollout of cultural awareness training across Encore’s national teams, including South Australia. This has provided powerful opportunities for reflection and learning, empowering staff to approach their work with deeper respect and understanding. Another proud achievement was supporting the 4th Lowitja Institute International Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Conference, a significant event that brought together voices from across the globe.
Encore’s engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is guided by listening first. The organisation seeks input and guidance from First Nations leaders and organisations to ensure cultural integrity, while also encouraging staff to embed First Nations perspectives into event planning and delivery. Beyond internal initiatives, Encore has also partnered with the GO Foundation as a technical solutions partner, furthering their support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander excellence.
For Encore, events like the Reconciliation SA Gala are vital because they provide more than symbolism. They create platforms for truth-telling, cultural celebration, and connection. They spark conversations, inspire action, and bring together people and organisations with the power to drive systemic change.
Looking ahead to this year’s Gala, Encore hopes attendees leave with renewed energy, a sense of connection, and the understanding that reconciliation is a shared responsibility. Most of all, they want guests to feel inspired to take practical steps, both personally and professionally, to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive tomorrow.
As the Encore team reflects on their journey, they see reconciliation as both a responsibility and an opportunity. Their vision for South Australia is one where learning, listening, and building respectful relationships are at the core of community connection. For them, reconciliation is not a destination but an ongoing journey. One that requires courage, humility, and action.
