Expression of Interest: South Australian Aboriginal Representatives for Reconciliation SA RAP Sub Committee

Reconciliation South Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest to join our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group. We are looking for three passionate individuals who are committed to advancing reconciliation and building respectful relationships between Aboriginal people and the wider South Australian community.

This is a paid position, with appointments for a two-year term and a requirement to attend four meetings per year. As part of the RAP Working Group, you will play an important role in shaping our reconciliation initiatives and ensuring that Aboriginal perspectives are at the centre of our work.

Aboriginal Traditional Owners from SA communities are encouraged to apply. Reconciliation South Australia is seeking three passionate and committed individuals to join our Reconciliation Action plan (RAP) Working Group. About Reconciliation SA: Reconciliation SA is dedicated to building respectful relationships between Aboriginal people and the wider South Australian community. We advocate for the inclusion of Aboriginal people in all aspects of life and strive for a reconciled and just South Australia.

Role and Responsibilities: As a member of the Working Group, you will:

• Provide insights and perspectives on issues affecting Aboriginal communities.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and reporting phases of RAPs.
• Collaborate with other members to promote reconciliation initiatives.
• Attend in person or online and actively participate in four meetings per year.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Identify as a South Australian Aboriginal person.
• Demonstrate a commitment to reconciliation and improving the lives of Aboriginal people.
• Have experience or interest in community advocacy, leadership, or related fields.
• Be available to attend four meetings annually.
