Written by Team Writer | Oct 22, 2024 10:08:46 PM

At the heart of Reconciliation SA lies a vision of a just and reconciled South Australia. As such, we work to advocate for respectful relationships between First Nations peoples and the broader community, fostering a society free from discrimination and racism. Central to these efforts is the newly outlined position of Project and Membership Manager, a role critical in driving forward the organisation's mission through strategic partnerships, member engagement, and event coordination.

The Project and Membership Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the membership strategy and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. This includes managing an extensive membership database, planning events, and promoting Reconciliation SA’s programs, including National Reconciliation Week and other initiatives aimed at fostering understanding and acceptance. The manager’s duties also involve collaborating with team members to ensure that communication aligns with Reconciliation SA's strategic direction while engaging with both First Nations and non-First Nations organisations to strengthen partnerships.

Success in this role requires a blend of technical and interpersonal skills. A background in project management, communications, or marketing is desirable, alongside proven experience in customer service and membership management. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. Additionally, an understanding of the Reconciliation movement and the cultural safety of First Nations peoples is vital. The role demands sensitivity, adaptability, and a passion for creating a culturally inclusive and respectful workplace.

In joining Reconciliation SA as the Project and Membership Manager, you become an ambassador for a reconciled South Australia. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to building a society grounded in respect, truth, and healing for all people.

Applications are now open and will close on November 15th. Please provide a two page cover letter and a current resume with two referees and email to admin@reconciliationsa.org.au. Reconciliation SA provides for flexible work arrangements, any further enquiries to our admin email.
