RAP Learning Circles/Reconciliation Roadshows hosted by Reconciliation AUS
On the 31st of August, Reconciliation SA was invited along with 80 other attendees from a range of different departments, and organisations to participate in reconciliation roadshows. This full day workshop brought together a wide network of people from RAP organisations who are working to advance reconciliation and committed to supporting a just, equitable and reconciled Australia.
2023 South Australian Training Awards Gala Dinner
Reconciliation SA were invited The SA Training Awards on the 21st of September at the Adelaide Convention Centre. This night was attended by over 500 people and all different areas within the training industry. Jason Downs (CEO of Reconciliation SA) presented an award to the winner of the Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Tranee of the year, Courtney Sumner-Kimlin.
That’s a RAP session
On the 5th of Sep, Reconciliation SA co-delivered an education focus session to a group of educators, and staff from the Association of Independent Schools of SA (AISSA). Aunty Elaine, a respected Kaurna elder and Kate Mount who is the senior Education Consultant at AISSA shared experiences and created conversations regarding how education is key to providing safer spaces for our schools. The feedback was positive and there has been interest with speaking at other schools.
