National Reconciliation Week (NRW), held annually from 27 May to 3 June, invites Australians to reflect on our shared history and work towards a united future. The 2025 theme, "Bridging Now to Next," encourages us to connect lessons of the past with actions for a stronger, more inclusive tomorrow.

Reconciliation South Australia's Annual National Reconciliation Week (NRW) Breakfast is a significant event that marks the beginning of NRW in South Australia. Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the breakfast brings together a diverse audience to reflect on and promote reconciliation between Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and non-Indigenous Australians.

The 2024 NRW Breakfast, held on May 27, attracted over 2,800 attendees, underscoring the community's commitment to reconciliation. The event featured a keynote address by Yorta Yorta man and acclaimed artist Adam Briggs, who shared insights on justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The program also included performances by the Aboriginal hip-hop group DEM MOB and other local talents, enriching the cultural experience for attendees.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2024, "Now More Than Ever," served as a poignant reminder of the ongoing efforts required to achieve justice and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The breakfast provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, reflection, and a collective commitment to advancing reconciliation in Australia.

For those who could not attend, the event was broadcast on Channel 44 and made available on-demand through community TV streaming services, ensuring broader access to the important discussions and performances that took place.
