We champion a reconciled state and just society free from racism through education, information, conversation and advocacy.
Reconciliation South Australia is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG.
The Yankunytjatjara woman was a close friend of reconciliation and a patron of Reconciliation SA for many years. As many from around the nation have noted, she was a trailblazer, and icon, and tirelessly fearless in her fight for First Nations rights, improving the health of First Nations people, and reconciliation. Her work, wisdom and strength has and will continue to inspire many for generations to come.
The Board, CEO and team pay their respects and thank Dr Lowitja O'Donoghue AC CBE DSG for her tireless work and advocacy and can only hope to aspire to such never-ending passion and dedication.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones at this time.
