The 2023 edition of the Reconciliation SA Fundraising Gala has now passed and was a great success. 

Once the evening was introduced by emcee Narelda Jacobs, the fundraiser saw CEO Jason Downs announce our new logo, which you can read about in a separate blog, and listen to designer, Karen Brigg's speech.

The logo is just one step in many to come as the organisation looks to develop a range of new programs and policies, improve member and regional/remote engagement, as well as utilise our online presence more.

After the formalities, dinner began to get served, guests were treated to a range of elegant entrees, Sous vide chicken breast or Grilled Barramundi as a main with some tasty sides, and Davidson plum cream, saltbush caramel and bush honey spongeparfait for dessert.

After dinner, the entertainment began, and in a first for a Reconciliation SA event, a comedian took the stage. This was none other than the hilarious Dane Simpson.

Dane captivated his audience with his gags, ensuring that comedians will be on the agenda again in the future.

Following Dane, we saw the amazing Emma Donovan grace the stage with her band, who truly helped capped off a wonderful evening in style. 

Our fundraising was also a great success, with only a couple of our silent auction items remaining at the end of the night.
