Anti-Racism Workshop
Empowering everyone to be advocates for change and create a better way for each other, our children, and future generations.
Our program is designed to instigate behaviour change through greater understanding. We create a safe learning environment that encourages people to embrace difficult conversations, confront and dismantle systemic racism and prejudice in all its forms.
Our approach is to invite, educate and activate people to initiate and drive positive change within the community.
We offer tools for leaders, allies, bystanders, those who have been impacted, and those who have been called out.

Our program is designed using adult learning principles, global research, lived experiences and evidence-based information. We aim to deepen understanding of racism, trauma, bias, and microaggressions. We will equip participants with the knowledge needed to become change leaders.
All participants complete a pre-survey to establish interpretation, knowledge, and a baseline of awareness and understanding.
A structured and facilitated session aimed at fostering understanding. We invite curiosity and discussion on topics including racism, colonial impact, trauma, bias, and psychological behaviour change.
Participants are provided with a workbook and information to complete prior to workshop two. During this period, participants are encouraged to engage within their workplace or community groups on issues and respond to a series of examples.
A facilitated discussion between presenters and participants. This guided process identifies strategies to support bystanders, victims, perpetrators and leaders in becoming anti-racists.
This survey assesses changes and increased awareness. All respondents will receive a group report of change and a certificate of participation.

"Kuru Wiya allowed us to deep dive into racism and unpack the biases and micro-aggressions associated within it. When we acknowledge and confront these issues, we promote understanding and empathy leading to improved relationships and ultimately a more just community for all".
