Reconciliation SA is proud to share an update that brings together creativity, young talent, and the strong partnerships that make our work possible. As we approach the end of the year, we’re reflecting on the connections, collaborations, and community efforts that continue to shape our programs.
Especially those made possible through our major funding partners.
This week, we were thrilled to finalise the judging for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Colouring-In and Artwork Competition. With 85 entries from children and young people across the state and beyond, the calibre of submissions reminded us once again of the incredible imagination, cultural pride, and artistic strength within our communities.
Choosing just five winners was no easy task. Each entry carried its own story, textures, and creativity, making the judging both a privilege and a challenge.
We are delighted to congratulate this year’s winners:
- Scarlett
- Isaac
- Raya
- Jacob
- Zaliah
These talented young artists captured the spirit of culture, Country, and identity in their own unique ways. Our colouring-in winners will each receive a special book pack featuring a curated selection of picture books by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors.
Our original artwork winners will receive their very own iPad, a tool we hope will support them to continue drawing, painting, designing, and exploring their creative futures.
A big thank you to all the children and young people who entered the competition, to our team for bringing this project to life, and to the Department for Child Protection for being a partner in our vision for a more connected, creative, and culturally safe future.
