Nominations are now open to all members for the Reconciliation South Australia Board.

If you are a passionate, strategic thinker with values that align to those of Reconciliation and leading genuine change for our State, we welcome your nomination for election to the Reconciliation SA Board. You can find the form here.

In line with our Constitution, there are two positions open, one for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person and one for a Non-Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Please email completed nomination forms for the Board to admin@reconciliationsa.org.au by 5pm, Friday, October 17th, 2025.

Following the receipt of nominations, ballot elections will be through online voting and, where requested, through postal submission. Voting will commence on Monday, 27th October and close on Friday, 14th November.

Election results will be announced at the Reconciliation SA 2025 AGM to be held on Thursday, the 20th of November at the National Wine Centre (with more details of the AGM to come).

Expression of Interest: Co-Chair, Reconciliation SA

Reconciliation SA is seeking a dynamic and principled leader to join our Board as Co-Chair, helping guide our organisation’s vision to advance reconciliation across South Australia.

This is a unique opportunity to co-lead a respected not-for-profit committed to truth-telling, systemic change, and strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community. Under constitutional requirements, we are seeking a non-Aboriginal female to lead alongside our current male Aboriginal Co-chair

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to shape long-term vision and navigate complex social and political landscapes.

• Governance Expertise: Experience in board leadership, risk management, and ethical decision-making.

• Not-for-Profit Acumen: Understanding of community-led organisations, funding environments, and stakeholder engagement.

• Reconciliation Leadership: A deep commitment to advancing reconciliation, cultural integrity, and justice.

• Collaborative Spirit: Skilled in co-leadership, consensus-building, and fostering inclusive dialogue.

As Co-Chair, you will:

• Provide strategic oversight and leadership to Reconciliation SA’s Board and Executive.

• Champion reconciliation initiatives across sectors and communities.

• Uphold our values of unity, respect, and truth-telling.

• Support the organisation’s growth, sustainability, and impact.
